The most important genetic test for assessing Alzheimer’s and dementia risk is the APOE test.
The APOE test screens patients for the ApoE4 gene, a gene which increases an individual’s risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
Implications of the ApoE4 gene:
Since this genetic trait has potential to greatly increase an individual’s risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, many in the healthcare field think that there’s a limit to what can be done to reduce lifetime risk of the disease, or reverse the progression once it begins.
Dr. Dale Bredesen and our Body Symmetry MD program done in conjunction with Apollo Health suggest that, in fact, the opposite is true.
There is MUCH that can be done to reduce risk-or in some instances-reverse the early symptoms.
Our Alzheimer’s Recovery Center uses clinically proven programs for optimizing brain health, preventing cognitive decline, and reversing early stage Alzheimer’s disease related cognitive decline.
Schedule an APOE genetic test or schedule your consultation to see if you or your loved one is a candidate for our Alzheimer’s Recovery Center program.
